Shankill

County Dublin, Ireland·Pop. ~14,000

The Vision

Shankill reimagined with the vibrancy of a Mediterranean town — Main Street pedestrianised as a sun-drenched boulevard with terracotta herringbone paving and an Italianate fountain, Brady's Pub transformed into a grand Mediterranean taverna with ochre walls, vine-covered pergola and Bart's Coffee terrace with lemon trees, St Anne's Church bathed in honey-coloured limestone with a lavender and olive tree garden, wisteria pergola and mosaic fountain, the sea walk reimagined as a stunning Mediterranean promenade with stone balustrades, palm trees, a gelato pavilion, sea swimmers and yoga, and the DART station as a beautiful terracotta-roofed transport hub with a clock tower, arched colonnades, wisteria-draped platform, and mosaic-tiled floors — all bringing Mediterranean warmth to Dublin's coast.

A historic coastal suburb in south Dublin whose name means 'Old Church' in Irish, with a charming village Main Street, St Anne's Church, Brady's award-winning pub-restaurant, the DART railway, and a beautiful sea walk towards Bray Head.
